Jail Ministry Update

“Then said Jesus to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest”  Matthew 9:37-38

This past week my visit at Jackson county jail was very encouraging. I met a young man that had previously attended  CCC with his mother and sister. There had been a few setbacks in his life and he felt he wanted to get things right with the God who had saved him a few months earlier. Though the other two men in our Bible Study gave no indication of interest, to my surprise, they both prayed to accept Christ as their Savior. What an exciting privilege as the Holy Spirit moves in the lives of these men. The young man plans on visiting CCC later this month. He would like to bring his sister. That would be really special. Please continue to pray for him and his family.

As I was preparing to leave I received a page from the front office that there was another young man who
requested a visit. It appears that a friend blamed him for a crime that he said he did not commit. He did not seem to be bitter, however, while incarcerated, he became concerned about his relationship with God. He had been praying about this and wanted help. After he understood about God’s love and the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus he was more than willing to give his life to Christ. Praise The God of heaven!!!

So those who have been praying for these men your award awaits you as we labor together. The fields are indeed white for harvest.
